Week 4 of Project 365

I feel this week was a bit of a struggle.  I tried some new techniques but I also failed a few times.  I guess you can't take a great photo every single day of the year.

My first attempt at freelensing…this was beginners luck because I've been trying all week and I haven't gotten another good photo with this technique.

Wolfie has tennis practice at 6:45 am.  This was us about 6:30 drinking coffee together.
The prompt this day was: Rockstar.  I figured I could be one, right?  Then, Charclee and I went to dinner with Brian and Erik.  I thought I got food poisoning.  Apparently, it was not food poisoning but the stomach flu.  It's been going around in my class.
I drug myself out of bed to take this photo.  The prompt was blue.  I could have been more creative but between fever and the chills this was the best for the day.

And today, I feel much better.  Thank God.  So, I took a photo of my favorite mountains.  I hope you all have a great week.

Week 3 of Project 365

Hello everyone!  I'm on my third week here and I haven't missed a day of taking photos…21 days straight.  I'm really proud of that.  I've learned a lot just by picking up my camera everyday and using it.  I'm getting quite good at manual shooting and I can see a difference in my photos.  I've also learned some new tricks…who knew about freelensing (not me) but I plan on trying it to see what I can come up with.  I'm sharing one photo a day on my Instagram and those are the photos here as well, but I have taken a ton more.  I have some photos that I'm really proud of that I will share later.  Also, I've not taken many photos of the boys.  Apparently, they are tired of me taking photos of them.    I have been able to sneak a ton of photos of them with my phone, but pull out the regular camera and I can't hide that.  So, here you go…

This was a hard one…I was using my Lensbaby.  I missed focus on a lot of the images.

Okay everyone.  Have a great week!

Week 2 of Project 365

Hello All!  I hope you had a great week.  It was our first week back to school and it went by surprisingly fast.  I'm plugging along on my Project 365 and I'm enjoying it immensely.  I'm loving the challenge of shooting everyday.  So, here are my photos for this past week.

I hope you all have a great week.  Hopefully, I can get something crafty worked into this week too.

Week 1 of Project 365

I've finished up the first week of my Project 365.  It's been a lot of fun as well as eye opening.  This year, I've been working on shooting all of my photos in Manual Mode and that has been going well.  So, I thought I would share my photos from this week with you all.

I've been working with prompts so that is why there are some weird photos…you know like the one of the potatoes.  It's not everyday I go out and try to take pictures of them, ha.  I am completely in love with this project, though.  I've learned a lot already in the past seven days and I can't wait to see where this journey leads me throughout the year.  Have a great week!

Project 365 Details

Hello All!  Today, I'm going to share my Project 365 Details.  Basically, I will be taking at least one photo a day and working to improve my photography skills.  That is not all I'm going to be doing as I really plan to push myself this year.  Already, reflecting and thinking about my goals has really led me to understand what I want to work on this year both professionally and personally.  So, here are some of the logistics.

*I haven't yet figure out how I want to share these photos.  Do I want to create a gallery on my website, create a separate Instagram Account for them, or use some other online gallery.

*I don't think I will be able to cull and edit photos daily as I get back to work.  I will take a photo daily that is for sure. If need be, I will edit the photos on a weekly basis.

*I'm going to be documenting One Little Word and this project in my traveler's notebook.  Pulling my favorite photos monthly and adding them in with some notes about the photos I've chosen.

*I also bought these cute little notebooks from Clique Kits to use for notes and ideas.  They're small and easy to take anywhere.

As soon as I figure out my gallery situation, I'll share it here.  Have a great day!

One Little Word: Renew

Hello Everyone!  Welcome to 2018.  I hope you had a great Christmas and New Year.  We did, that's for sure.  This year, I am embarking on the One Little Journey again.  I've chosen the word: Renew.

I want to renew my creativity in scrapbooking and journaling.  I want to renew and build my photography skills.  I want to renew and redefine my relationship with the boys as they get older.  I want to renew a commitment to blogging more often.

I am really more excited than I have been in a long time to start this new journey.  Not only have a committed to do One Little Word, but I've also started a 365 Day project for photography.  I am still trying to figure out how to organize everything.  In the coming days, I will get that figured out and share it with you.  So, I'm pretty excited!!!  I am wishing you all the best for 2018.
