Sometimes...

Sometimes...
You have to just ride along and go with the flow.
Sometimes life swallows you, overwhelms you, takes you over and you can't breathe.
Sometimes lines blur, things aren't clear cut.
Sometimes, I want to quit...walk away...take a little break for just a minute.
Sometimes I want to catch my breath.
And SOMETIMES....Sometimes, I think everything will be okay....
SOMETIMES....

Just Dig (12x12 Layout)

Finally a layout!  I was prompted to post by Stephanie Howell.  She's running a virtual crop on her blog and since I have a layout ready, I decided to participate.  This is my little JoJo running the Kabota.  My brother put the outriggers down, and let him have at it.  He is obsessed with tractors of any sort, and knows the names of them all.  His greatest ambition in life is to operate a bulldozer or excavator at the dump.  Yes, I am so proud of that one.  I'm hoping he'll grow out of the dump dream and run his own excavation business, if he wants to run equipment.  It seems running equipment is in his blood...our family has been born and raised in the construction business.  He is the most "Ashbaugh" of all the boys.  And that is something that makes me happy.

Back to School Photos

Wow, it's been a while since I last posted.  We have just been so busy around here with school.  I just wanted to share a few pictures of the boys.  I swear I have layouts done to post too, but I have to photograph them first and that just seems like a tedious task to me right now.  Anyhow, here you go.

These three photos pretty much sum up JoJo's last week before school.  He was so anxious to start school.  From the day we bought his backpack, he took it everywhere.  He took it to Estela's house and showed everyone his school supplies.  He took it to the store.  He took it EVERYWHERE.  Everyday, he would ask if it was a school day.  As soon as he work up the first words out of this mouth were, "Is it school day?"  He was so heartbroken that Wolfie and Maddie started a week earlier than he did.  And towards the end of the week, he would cry when I told him he had to go to Estela's house.

Our first day of school...except for JoJo.

JoJo's first day...he looks stunned.  At the end of the day, he cried because we had to go home...he wanted to stay at school.  Let's give him a week or two and see what he thinks then.

The best hat in America is actually made in China...And Mariphone Photos

So it's been a few days since I last posted.  That's because I am working like a mad woman to get photos edited and delivered, my classroom ready for school (started today), and get the boys ready for school too.  I have a few photos to share with you because ...why not.  On Saturday, me and my bestie Val had a girl's day.  We had lunch and then went shopping and then went to De La Vegas where we got rained on , and then we all took the boys to the races.

First I have to tell you about my new hat.  It is my favorite thing in the world.  I look so cute in it...apparently items that cover half of my face make me look cuter.  It also helped that I could hardly see Val when I wore it so it made spending time with her more pleasant.  Just Kidding but I have to give her a hard time.

This is me in the store trying on some ridiculously expensive jeans and shirt and hat.  This is Val's picture she sent me...I would show you the back pockets but she didn't send it to me.  I ended up with the hat and the jeans...eek.  But really people I haven't bought clothes for myself in about three years.

This is me and my hat at Verizon Wireless.  Val needed something for her phone, and she took this picture too.

My Self Portrait Hat Photo

Me and Val were at the drive through of Jack in the Box on our way to the races.

This is how my hat looks in a picture with Erik.

This is how my hat looks with sunglasses.  It is night, but the dust from the car races was atrocious.  Plus my hat protected my head from dirt clods.

I know you guys really wanted to see another picture of my hat, but this is a picture of the cars under caution after a wreck on the race track.

Erik and JoJo at the races.

Val and Claud adopted the kids that night...They boys all wanted to sit with them.

That's it.  I'm off to dinner.  I know that your day is brighter because you saw all of those photos of  me in may hat.
